Hello there, and welcome!I'm Jae, and my love affair with handbags began when I was very young. I vividly remember receiving a 70s-inspired purse, intricately made from white pearl beads with a delicate gold chain handle. I was mesmerized by the details and how it was all put together, and even though I couldn't figure out how back then, I felt incredibly glamorous carrying my new little bag.Fast forward to 2019 – I needed a new sewing machine, and my wonderfully supportive husband bought me a Singer. I started honing my skills, first making quilted blankets, pillowcases, and smaller items, learning the craft step by step.

As time passed and my sewing knowledge grew, I felt ready to challenge myself with a bigger project: my first real handbag! I nervously showed it to my hubby, and his reaction blew me away: "You made this?! It looks like you bought it at the store! Babe, you SHOULD sell these!"It took a couple more years for that seed of an idea to fully blossom, but it eventually flourished into Sewing Emeralds, my very own brand dedicated to creating beautiful, handmade bags. The journey from admiring that little pearl purse to designing and crafting my own collection has been amazing.I'm so excited to share my passion with you!
